Hello my name is Michael Poseidon Nikiforakis. You may notice that http://michaelnikiforakis.com and http://michaelPnikiforakis.com (notice the P in the middle) both direct you to the same awesome page. This is because there is actually more than one Michael Nikiforakis in this world and even in this country! Last I checked, I am the only Michael P Nikiforakis in USA.

I have many interests: poetry - mine and yours, making a working bicycle from 3 broken ones for fun - then doing the same for a computer, writing computer code that does the rest of my homework for me, understanding naturally irrational behavior of us humans, debating important issues to seek resolution and/or understanding, finding patterns of inefficiency in systems and correcting them. To summarize the majority of my interests as well as my single greatest passion: I like to solve problems.

Diagnose, repair, and maintain Biomedical equipment including: EKG Machines, Sterilizers, Microscopes, Medical Examination Tables, Hydraulic Tables, as well as other Electronic and/or Mechanical equipment used in the medical industry.

2014-2016

Boomer's Sub and Deli

Part-time Chef/delivery driver. Worked with an excellent team to prepare and deliver lunches, dinners, as well as large catering orders, from the garden all the way to the customers home or venue.

Manager 2012-2014

North Brookfield Pizza

Responsibilities included: managing inventory; employee scheduling; advertising and marketing; developing a web presence through social media in addition to all coding and designing of a website for the business; building maintenance/repairs; cashier/cook. I also developed original recipes for various well-liked menu items and reduced financial losses by introducing efficient systems/processes in all aspects of the business.

Biomedical Engineering - Associates Degree - (2011-current)

Quinsigamond Community College

Adding Biomedical Engineering to my associate's degree will help me gain the skills I believe will be needed in the future. Lab experience is an important component of this degree. The additional biology courses will provide me with a better understanding of certain natural processes which will enable me to work on certain electronic technologies in the future that are expected to become more related to biology.

Pictured is a Meat Tenderizer, Salt/Pepper Shakers, and Brass hammer all made by me. I used CNC, Lathes, Tap/Die, Boring tools, and reading Drawing Diagrams.
